Dental Assistant
Emilia:
Emilia joined the office in September 2014. She is part of the front office team and serves as an Appointment Coordinator. Emilia schedules and confirms appointments, reviews patient treatment plans and financials, and prepares insurance claims. She also checks charts for the following day and oversees billing.
Background:
Emilia has been an RDA for over ten years. Before working in Dr. Gabor’s office, she worked as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant for seven years. Emilia loves her work and her friendly, engaging personality puts both parents and children at ease.
Personal Interests:
Emilia came from a large family and grew up in Gilroy. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Emilia loves softball, basketball, and running. She is a loyal Bay Area sports fan that includes the Oakland Athletics and the Golden State Warriors.
Macie:
Macie joined our team in 2016. She works in the front office as an Insurance Specialist. Macie coordinates billing, insurance payments, claims, and related issues and tasks. She also schedules appointments, checks patients in and out, and updates patient charts. Macie loves interacting with our patients and their families and making them feel welcome in the office.
Background:
Macie graduated from Dominican University of California in May 2016. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and began working for Dr. Gabor to gain more knowledge and experience in the field of dentistry. In August 2017, she will begin the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program at Midwestern University in Arizona. Macie’s inspiration to become a dentist began as a young child and patient of Dr. Gabor.
Personal Interests:
Macie enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves reading, baking, and hiking.
Katie:
Katie joined our team in July of 2017 and is the newest member of our front office team. She works for our office as an Insurance Specialist, serving as a liaison between our patients and dental insurance companies.
Background:
Katie graduated from California State University of Long Beach in May 2016 with her Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Biology. She hopes to one day pursue a career in nursing and began working for Dr. Gabor as a way to gain knowledge and experience in an administrative role.
Personal Interests:
Katie enjoys spending her spare time participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and playing sports. She is a huge soccer fan and loves to support both the men’s and women’s U.S. national teams.
Antonia (Toni):
Toni has been working with Dr. Gabor for over 12 years. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) who oversees the office and makes sure it runs smoothly. Most of her responsibilities are in the clinical setting, but she helps out with other tasks in the front office as well. Even the most difficult, heavy workload will not affect her pleasant demeanor.
Background:
Toni has been an RDA for many years. She has extensive experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. She is an excellent team member who strives to make her patients feel comfortable.
Personal Interests:
Toni enjoys sports, exercise, and loves reading.
Kimberly:
Kimberly joined our team in July 2013. She spends the majority of her time assisting Dr. Gabor chair side. Kimberly also manages OSHA training, rules and regulations, and supplies. Her prime objective is to make her patient’s visits fun and comfortable. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and providing a more personal level of care.
Background:
Kimberly completed the Dental Assisting Program at Carrington College and took the California State Board to obtain her RDA license.
Personal Interests:
Kimberly grew up in Morgan Hill. She currently lives in Gilroy where she enjoys her large circle of friends, her dog Cooper, and cat Cinder. She loves to cook and supports her favorite hockey team, the San Jose Sharks.
Priscilla:
Priscilla is the latest newcomer in the office who joined in February 2017. She just finished Dental Assisting School in 2016. Priscilla’s main responsibility is in the clinical area assisting Dr. Gabor.
Background:
Priscilla finished the Dental Assisting program with flying colors at the Gilroy ROP program. She is preparing to take additional clinical exams and her Dental Assistant Board Exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant. She is excellent with our patients. She has a calm, reassuring demeanor that makes the children feel at ease even in the most difficult situations.
Personal Interests:
Priscilla has three children. She was a stay at home mom until she decided to have a career of her own. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her children and husband. She has two daughters and a son.
